Abstract for the 2026 ASMRM Young Investigator Award (YIA)

  1. ASMRM Young Investigator Award (YIA): Definition and Eligibility

    The 2026 ASMRM Young Investigator Award (YIA) competition is open to clinical and basic scientists engaged in MR research in academia, industry, or research institutions. Eligible applicants include undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, medical residents, and clinical fellows.

    For applicants at the postdoctoral, resident, or fellow level, eligibility is limited to individuals who are either:
    * Within five (5) years of completing their Ph.D. degree; or
    * Within seven (7) years of completing their relevant clinical training.

    In addition, applicants must be members of, or affiliated with, one of the ASMRM chapters/countries: Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, or Japan.

  2. Confirmation Letter Requirement

    For all YIA applicants, their eligibility must be verified by a letter of confirmation from the applicant’s supervisor, mentor, or department head. The confirmation letter should be sent by email not later than July 24th.

  3. Instructions for submission

    -the abstract word limit to 750 words.

    -Figure Submission
    All figures and their corresponding captions must be combined into a single file and uploaded as either a JPEG (.jpg) or PDF (.pdf) document.
    Authors are responsible for ensuring that all figure captions are clearly included within the uploaded file.

  4. Submission Deadline

    -submission must be not later than July 20th (Japan time)
